Shuvo's Story

Game Design
DIGM 3358

This project was influenced by an AR/VR contest hosted by Viverse. Team members had to create a game using AR/VR technology using browser game engines like PlayCanvas to import it into Viverse. Our team, team d1n0s4ur, focused on incorporating AR/VR features into a short story game.

Process & Development

Shuvo’s Story required a lot of team collaboration and problem solving. We wondered how we would incorporate AR/VR elements that would support the story we had created and the artistic direction. We brushed up on our coding skills (JavaScript) and navigated new programs, like PolyCam and PlayCanvas.

Final Product

To overcome these challenges, we decided to scan handmade clay figures, handmade dioramas, and other objects in order to make 3D features for the game suited the vision for our story. These 3D scans were then edited in Blender and placed into our PlayCanvas world, demonstrating a unique and imaginative world.
